Charity Tournament August 2026

On 27th August the GMWFL held a charity tournament in aid of the Bury Hospice. Five teams competed, Bury Relics, Referees & Officers, Rochdale Striders, Rochdale Strollers, and Rochdale Wanderers.

The teams were over 60s, although there were many players well past that age. Bury Relics won this years tournament, with Rochdale Striders runners up. Thanks to all who took part in what is hopefully to become an annual tournament.

Thanks to our two referees on the day, Garry Pearce and John Halstead. Also, the Your Trust ladies who served up the food. A grand total of £500 was raised for the Bury Hospice charity. Thanks to all clubs and players who contributed.
