Local Manchester League
Local Manchester League
With the government restrictions still in place and only easing in stages, we had to reluctantly make the decision that the GMWFL Spring season wouldn’t go ahead as planned. However, we were able to run a temporary Local Manchester League for teams within that boundary.
Twenty four teams from ten different clubs entered this temporary competition. We had ten over 60s teams, ten over 65s teams and four over 70s teams. The 60s and 65s were grouped into two divisions of five teams. Quite a few clubs needed to play some players in both the 60s and 65s leagues.
This will be an ongoing report, with further details added after each league session.

Can anyone please tell me the actual size of the individual walking football pitches .
If you mean at Heywood – no idea but certainly within the FA requirements –
LAW 1 THE FIELD OF PLAY (PLAYING AREA)
Dimensions
The playing area must be rectangular; the length of the touchline must be greater than the length of the goal line.
For 5-a-side and 6-a-side football the following dimensions are recommended:
Length: minimum 25m, maximum 50m.
Width: minimum 16m, maximum 35m.
Antipope?
